Kendal
Our Carers' Centre at 5 Castle St has a Weekly Drop-in that meets on Wednesdays from 11am - 1pm (arrangements may differ during holidays)

There is also a Kendal Lunch Club, meeting from 12 am - 2pm, now replacing the weekly 'Drop-in'

Grange
Group meetings are held on the 4th Tues of the month from 10.30 - 12.30 at The Graythwaite Manor Hotel, Grange
Sedbergh / Kirkby Lonsdale
Group meetings are held on the 1st Tues. in the month, 2 - 4pm, usually in the Community Centre, Sedbergh, (but can be at different venues in the area. Please contact the office for details).
Windermere/Ambleside
New group at The Langdale Chase Hotel, 1st Tues. in the month, 10.30 - 12.30, starting 7th Dec.

THE HANDY PERSON SCHEME
Operated by South Lakeland District Council. To be eligible you must be owner-occupiers or private tenants and over 60, have a disability or have recently been discharged from hospital.
The works that a handy person can do - would be briefly small jobs like fixing security measures such as spy-holes and window locks, change light bulbs, unblock sinks, put up curtain rails etc. You can contact the Hand Person Scheme by telephone on 01539 733333.

Young Carers A2B 7th-9th July
Our Young Carers have been involved in a 2 year project at The Brewery Arts Centre called A2B 'from Asia to the Brewery' which culminates in a 3 day festival 7th - 9th July. All the young people worked hard on music, dance and graffiti to create some brilliant pieces of art which will be shown off during the festival. They will be taking part in a performance at The Brewery on Sat 9th July 7.30pm 'Colouring in the World' and Sonia Sabri - 'Kathakbox' Tickets £10.00/£8.00 concession.

Fundraising Event
for Young Carers
All carers, their families and friends are warmly invited to a Summer Charity BBQ at The Elleray Hotel in Windermere on the 4th August from 7pm. This is the final fundraising event for South Lakeland Young Carers organised by Shirley Crisp who has raised a huge amount of money for us through quizzes, a fashion show and a sponsored four day walk. Tickets cost £10 which includes BBQ food and entertainment. You can reserve tickets by calling
